Yes, I join and support the FRN
I wish to pay personal tribute to the AFC/M23, which fought and halted the malevolent ambitions of the Kinshasa tyrant. I pay tribute to the brave ARC soldiers who fell on the battlefield for this noble cause, and to those lying wounded in hospital. The DRC will be forever grateful to you.
By Lem's-Pierre Lunda Mulongo, president of the Awakening for Katangese Solidarity (Éveil pour la solidarité katangaise)
As President Joseph Kabila Kabange stressed twice, in his addresses to the nation of 23 May 2025 and 9 October 2026, our country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, is going through a multifaceted crisis: a security crisis, a crisis of legitimacy and a crisis of governance marked by corruption and the embezzlement of public funds.
In 2019, President Joseph Kabila Kabange handed his successor, Félix Tshisekedi, a reunified country and an economy on the verge of take-off. On taking office, President Tshisekedi chose tribalism, arbitrary rule, demagoguery, hatred and corruption as his way of governing.
Mr Tshisekedi has established a regime of terror, marked by assassinations, arbitrary arrests and detentions, and enforced disappearances targeting mainly Swahili-speaking people from the east, namely Katangese and Kivutians.
The Banyamulenge communities are the victims of criminal bombardments by the Kinshasa regime, allied with Burundi and the Rwandan génocidaires of the FDLR. Dozens of senior army officers have been humiliated and arbitrarily detained to satisfy the whims of one man drunk on power.
He has stripped the state of its dignity, going so far as to air his private life in public. The Congolese people yearn for peace and development, but also for friendship, fraternity and good-neighbourliness with our nine neighbours, Rwanda among them.
Against this bleak backdrop, the emergence of the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation (FRN), under the leadership of President Joseph Kabila Kabange, stands out as a solution and an alternative. To remove a tumour, surgery is unavoidable, painful though it may be.
“I wish to pay personal tribute to the AFC/M23, which fought and halted the malevolent ambitions of the Kinshasa tyrant. I pay tribute to the brave ARC soldiers who fell on the battlefield for this noble cause, and to those lying wounded in hospital. The DRC will be forever grateful to you.”
The DRC's 450 tribes are, in truth, a cultural treasure. Unfortunately, we are facing a tribalist tyrant who has weakened national unity, deliberately violated the Constitution and is determined to amend it so that he can stand for further terms and entrench his dictatorship.
On behalf of the Awakening for Katangese Solidarity and the Foundation for the Development of Haut-Lomami, which I chair, we sincerely join the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation and give it our full support. We also call on all Congolese, and Katangese in particular, to stand ready and mobilised to take part in this work of national salvation.
“Our nation is in danger, and its salvation and deliverance depend on our determination and commitment. Let us yield neither to fear, nor to intimidation, nor to laxity.”
Let us all stand behind the Front for the Refoundation of the Nation, remain faithful to its vision and ideology, and fight to the ultimate sacrifice.
